In June 2019 Water Corporation completed a $4.1 million project to replace the gantry crane that is used to maintain the gates of the Kununurra Diversion Dam. The original 54 tonne gantry crane was installed 56 years ago in 1963 as part of a project to build the Kununurra Diversion Dam and contain the flow of water from Lake Argyle.
