Water Corporation’s Kununurra Diversion Dam – Perth Drone Operator Specialists and Media Provider
Perth Drone Operator Specialists and Media Production for Water Corporation
Hardhat Media is on the move again covering the Water Corporation’s work on the iconic landmark, the Diversion Dam in Kununurra, Western Australia.
In 2019, the Water Corporation completed a $4.1M project to replace the gantry crane that sits on top of the Diversion Dam Bridge. The dam is particularly crucial to the area, regulating the flow of water to the Ord Irrigation Scheme, protecting the town of Kununurra from flooding and supplying water to farmers.
Perth-based business Vector Lifting manufactured the new gantry crane and Kununurra subcontractors were engaged as part of the installation.
We were thrilled to be asked to create numerous videos covering the journey and construction of this major Western Australian project.
Our videographer filmed Vector Lifting loading the new gantry crane onto the trucks travelling up to Kununurra. We then travelled to Kununurra as well, installed a time-lapse camera to capture the assembly of the new crane, which will sit on top of the dam. During the assembly, we used a combination of time-lapse, GoPro, drone photography and on-site filming to capture the process.
We will travel up to Kununurra again in the coming weeks to capture interviews with Water Corporation’s Project Manager, Head of Safety, Regional Manager and Team Leader.
We are proud to be trusted by Water Corporation and many other government agencies to be their drone operator of choice and media provider.
